Student Government
Student Government
Every year there are two to three students from each class in grades 3 through 5 invited to join PS 100 student government. These students are hardworking, kind, responsible and willing to help their community. They follow all aspects of the 7Bs in all places in our building. The members of the student council are responsible for spearheading initiatives that will help members of our community and the world. In addition they have to create excitement and motivate the school community to rally behind them. Over the last four years student council members have led Coat Drives and Can Drives every year, Pennies for Puerto Rico and Flint Michigan, and Care Packages for the homeless. They have raised money and made donations to the American Cancer Society and ALS. In addition, the Student Council leads the collection of box tops to fund our PBIS store.
The school recognizes the importance of new initiatives. This year we supported a young innovator on her quest to make a difference in her community. The Student Council began collecting plastic bottle caps. These plastic bottle caps are now being sent to an organization that makes prosthetic limbs.
